Join us and make Halton a mentally healthy place to live!

During May, we hosted a number of FREE events showcasing some of the many services and activities around Halton and giving you practical examples of how you can achieve positive mental health and wellbeing.

Together with our partners we spoke to over 1000 local residents this year at events in Runcorn and Widnes.

Everybody’s Welcome!

Get your workplace involved

  • Mental ill-health is the leading cause of sickness absence in the UK, costing an average of £1,035 per employee per year
  • 95% of employees calling in sick with stress gave a different reason
  • 48% said they would not talk to their employer about their mental health

Help us to end the stigma around mental health and encourage more people to be open and talk about mental health.

Are you a local employer? Here’s some ideas for you could get involved and promote positive mental health at work.

  • Hold a coffee morning where staff can come along and have a chat and a cuppa
  • Talk to our team about the training we can offer you and your staff – call 0300 029 0029. Currently we offer training around Mental Health Awareness, Suicide Prevention, Youth Connect 5 – for parents carers of 11-18 year olds and self-harm.
  • Get staff together for some fun physical activities – even if its only a walk around the car park! Being active can have a real impact on your mental health.
  • Time to Change has some great ideas for workplace activities.
