Resources for Schools

Rise Above

Public Health England to boost student health, wellbeing and resilience with Rise Above for Schools

Public Health England (PHE) has launched Rise Above for Schools, which provides new PSHE resources to support secondary school teachers when promoting positive health, wellbeing and resilience among young people aged 11 to 16.

Today, children and young people face increasingly complex lives and experience many new pressures that can harm their physical health, mental wellbeing and educational attainment. PHE has created Rise Above for Schools to help young people build resilience and cope with the challenges life throws at them.

All Rise Above for Schools resources have been developed in collaboration with teachers and the PSHE Association. The resources have also received the PSHE Association’s Quality Mark.

Topics covered include bullying and cyberbullying, alcohol, positive relationships, smoking, exam stress, online stress and body image in a digital world. More topics will be released later in the school year.
