Monday 10th September is the start of Know Your Numbers! Week – an annual event to encourage people to check their blood pressure.

It’s been estimated that around 13000 people in Halton could have undiagnosed high BP.*

High blood pressure is linked to at least 50% of heart attacks and strokes. In the UK, high blood pressure is the third biggest risk factor for disease (including kidney disease and dementia) after tobacco smoking and poor diet.*

The only way to find out your blood pressure is to have regular checks. You can have your free blood pressure check at your local pharmacy, GP surgery or use a home testing kit and encourage friends and family to do the same.

A blood pressure check is quick, free, painless and could save your life.
